A Taste of History on the River The restaurant was founded in 1946 and was the first San Antonio business to open its door to the River. The river barge will pick us up at 6pm and return us to the Westin Riverwalk. We will enjoy the following dinner and fellowship while enjoying our ride along the San Antonio River. August 19th Market Square, El Mercado @ 7pm Mi Tierra opened in 1941 with a 3-table café for early rising farmers and workers. Now Mi Tierra Café now seats over 500 and is a world-famous landmark. Mi Tierra has strolling musicians, a huge selection of classic Tex-Mex dishes and the coldest beer in the Mercado! Located in Market Square where San Antonians have been shopping since the 1820’s, before COST: House menu (prices are not on the menu – but they are reasonable)-- SPACE limited.

750 foot tall Tower provides a spectacular view of the Alamo City built in 1968 for the World’s Fair. Enjoy the panorama view from the Tower’s revolving Chart House Restaurant, take in the scenery from the Observation Deck. The Tower was the tallest observation tour from 1968 – 1996, when the Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower was completed.

Tower Trivia: The fastest record time up the tower’s 952 steps is 5 minutes 18 seconds!! (Jan. 29, 1981)
